At CES, Samsung announced the Exynos 5 Octa Processor. Now they did not mention which phones would be getting these beastly chips, but you could only imagine that such a powerful processor would have to be placed into a powerful “phablet”. Yeah we can assume that the Exynos 5 will be placed into the Galaxy Note III. We have already heard a slew of rumors about the Note III, and this one sounds the most plausible out of all them. The 6.3 inch display still rubs me the wrong way, but if that is where Samsung wants to go with the Note, so be it. Possibly the Galaxy S4 might get the new processor, but I really do not think it will.
Samsung mentioned that the 8 cores stuffed in this processor would be very battery efficient. That is always something we worry about when thinking about the power of these phones. The Note II gets great battery life for all it can do, and if these new processors designed like Samsung claims that they are, the Note III could have even better battery life. Let us know what you guys think.
