Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100G picking up Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update

Samsung Galaxy S II GTI9100G Jelly Bean
Those of you in parts of Asia and parts of Europe with a Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9100G), should be greeted with an OTA for your device very soon. Samsung is currently pushing out Jelly Bean Android 4.1.2. It moves you to build number JZ054K and brings tons of wondrous goodies.

The update will make your device look, on-screen, like a whole new phone. Giving you the smoothness of Project Butter, the Nature UX like the Galaxy S III, New widgets, Google Now, Direct call, Smart stay, pop-up play and a whole heck of a lot more.

The Android 4.1.2 update is rolling out in phases to eligible devices. Don’t worry if you don’t see it right away. You can always plug it in and check Samsung Kies and see if it is there for you as well. If you do happen to see it pop up on your device’s screen, make sure you have a good charge, well over 50%, and a little bit of time on a good Wi-Fi connection to pick it up. If you have a carrier branded version of the device, you might have to wait a little bit longer. Sorry guys, the U.S. feels your pain.
