Samsung Galaxy S4 Kernel Source starts making an Appearance

Samsung Galaxy S4
Today looks like a good day for Samsung device loving developers. Various Samsung Galaxy S4 device models have recently been listed with download links to their respective kernel source code. Looks like there are three variant code available at this time, the GT-I9500 and GT-I9505 unlocked versions as well as Virgin Mobile Canada’s SGH-I337M version. This doesn’t do wonders for any of the U.S. carrier versions, but it can give some of the talented and crafty devs we have floating around a little  look see at what is going on behind the scenes.

Just incase you are wondering, the GT-I9500 is the Exynos Octa chipset and the GT-I9505 and SGH-I337M are of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 variety. As time progresses we are certain Samsung will get the kernel source up for the U.S devices and any other regional or national carrier across the globe. We do have to wonder though, how long will the Verizon version take to go live. They have never been very keen to the developer community.

If you are looking to get your coding fingers dirty, fire up that mega monster PC of your and head over to Samsung’s Open Source Center. Or you can go by specific model via the links below.
