Samsung Galaxy S6 render looks pretty close to the real deal

When a device release gets closer, the design community usually has a field day trying to render the device as closely to the real deal as possible. Naturally, a Samsung Galaxy S6 render is at a premium at the moment, and some designers appear to have nailed Samsung‘s latest devices in a video featuring some very accurate modelling. Check it out below:

We’ve seen some of Jermaine Smit’s work before, when he postulated that there would be a Lenovo-based Nexus 6 over a year ago. While he wasn’t quite on the money that time, this render of the Galaxy S6 (with the help of Ivo Maric), and its all-but-confirmed dual curved edged brother, the Galaxy Edge, looks to be tantalizingly close to what the devices will looks like come March 1st.

samsung galaxy s6 renderWhat we’re expecting from both devices are at least a look at Samsung’s new Exynos 7 processor and a Quad HD display, and rumours have suggested the Galaxy S6 will have a 2,600mAh battery, which looks on the small side, but could be decent given power consumption savings in these new processor chips. Construction-wise, we expecting a metal edge around the device a la the Galaxy Note 4, and it’s been strongly suggested that the device will have glass in some shape or form on the device, likely the back cover. Either way, we’ll have to wait til MWC 2015 kicks off before we know any of this is true.
