Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE ‘Coming Soon’ to TELUS

Yesterday TELUS set their 2012 financial targets, expecting to bring in $5.75 to $5.9 billion. That’s a pretty decent amount to shoot your sights for. To help them achieve these goals, they will undoubtedly be bringing in a few new devices that should help generate a massive amount of revenue. One such device that is definitely slated for the carrier is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE.

Unless something else hits their shelves before the Tab, this will be the first device capable of hitting LTE speeds on TELUS. As many know, this is a an Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet rocking a 8.9-inch display at 1280X800 resolution. Internals workings include a dual-core Snapdragon processor clocked to 1.5GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage, a moderate 3MP camera and a 2MP front facer.

It is a pretty nice tablet that isn’t too big nor too small. I personally like the 8 to 9 inch size. Sure 10 or 10.1 inches is super nice, but I find a slightly smaller screen is easier to handle and still gives a great viewing experience. The TELUS website puts this tablet as ‘Coming Soon’, with no prices available just yet. If they intend to compete with Bell, who recently released the same tablet at $429.95 on a 3 year term and $649.95 outright, you should expect a similar price tags from TELUS.
