Samsung’s Open Source Release Center has just published the source code for the Samsung Galaxy Tab. In an amazingly short time after the Android tablet hit the retail shelves it has already seen the light of root and phone calling capabilities. These milestones only makes the Samsung Galaxy Tab even more enjoyable device to have. According to Softpedia, Galaxy Tab source code versions on the website include International and US versions:
Released Versions include:

As indicated, only the T-Mobile and Sprint source codes have been made public in the US. The only device missing in the US source code is for AT&T, which hasn’t disclosed the model number for its Galaxy Tab version yet. International versions have also been made available.
This release came just in time for the devs to tinker and cook some Android treats for the holidays. With the Samsung Galaxy S already under development by TeamDouche, we expect to see the Galaxy Tab show up in the CyanogenMod source shortly. CM6 for the Galaxy Tab will definitely be sweet! How open can a device get? I am really contemplating on getting this device now.
With root, call functionality and the source code release, we’re pretty sure many of you might have to add this to your holiday wish list – A MUST HAVE! Though the price price tag is still steep, I am now leaning towards getting one. Anyone else with a change of heart?
