In a few short days the world will finally get their first look at the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch. We know that the Gear will be showcased on September 4th at IFA in Berlin. At least, that is what a Samsung Executive said in an interview the other day. We are pretty confident that it will happen. A new leak has just surfaced this afternoon from @evleaks that shows off two important screenshots of an application that will accompany the Gear smartwatch, the Gear Manager.
Looking at the two images you can see a few pretty great things. FIrst, the watch will have NFC. All you have to do is tap the watch to the back of your device and connect the smart watch to your device automatically via Bluetooth. That’s pretty simple and awesome right there. Sure, you can connect manually if you want to, but where’s the fun in that. Looking at the manager app, you can see the Gear model number listed as SM-V700. You can also see a variety of apps and settings that are available to cruise through. I can see that you should be able to change the clock face with ease and manage all your smartwatch apps from your phone. I also see a feature to find your watch. Not sure if it will just sound an alarm or if it has GPS tracking involved.
Are you ready to see what Samsung has up their sleeves with the Galaxy Gear? I know we are.
