Leaked firmware updates are always a great way to stay up to date on software that may or may not ever become available to your device. The most recent leak to come out of SamFirmware is aimed at two devices. One of which should have been updated long ago. The Galaxy s 4G and the Infuse 4G are the next devices that might just see an official update in the near future.
If you don’t like waiting for your respective carrier to get the job done, you have the ability to check it out now. As with all leaks there is no guarantee that this is a final build or if everything is functional. Flashing is to be done at your own risk. The process is pretty simple and can easily be completed by using ODIN. If you aren’t familiar with ODIN, you might want to do a bit of research on it before you jump into something that might be over your head. You can find a guide on ODIN here on ASPIN, even though it is structured for returning to stock on a Vibrant, the process is still very much the same. You will just use the leaked files instead.
For the rest of you, head on over to SamFirmware to get the required files and good luck. Let us know how it goes and if you notice anything new or broken.
