Dual-booting operating systems is nothing new in the tech world. Generally this dual booting operation is handled by developers or the respective owners of the products, not the manufacturers. It is pretty common knowledge that Microsoft didn’t hit one out of the park, or even past second, with the launch of their Windows RT tablets. That doesn’t mean they are going to just walk away and stick to laptops and desktops though.
All of this based on he said she said rumors of course and have the usual “those who claim to have spent time with the device say it works quite well.” None of that means anything other than one probably exists. We wouldn’t be surprised if a few various sizes, versions and different processors chips are being tested as we write this. It certainly doesn’t mean that any of them will make their way out to the general public though.
If Microsoft is out for dual-boot and these guys are making it happen, would you be interested? I would imagine the price would probably jump up quite a bit for anything like this out of the box.
