Samsung Unpacked event heats up with more rumors, another tablet to be announced Too?

May 3rd can’t get here soon enough can it? We know that is the Galaxy S III announcement date. We have also heard that Samsung might be showing off a new cloud service called S-Cloud that will have no file restrictions. Now we find out that another rumor is floating around about a second device announcement at the same time. This time it is aimed at a new tablet offering.

According to a source at CNET, Samsung will be showcasing another 10.1 Galaxy Tab. No, not the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, but a completely different one. The source stated that it will be running a dual-core processor, but that is about all the info they were able to get.

Could another tablet offering be such a great idea from Samsung? A Samsung spokesperson has admitted that they aren’t cleaning up in tablet sales like they had hope to be. IT certainly wouldn’t be the Tab 11.6, unless the source was wrong on its size. If it is the Tab 11.6, we can’t image Samsung dropping a dual-core processor into it. Maybe they have some secret plan up their sleeves to drop a dual-core tablet that is under $300. That would sure as heck would get some sales going I would think.

For now, we will add this in to the May 3rd rumor bag and give it a good shake. Anything is possible. After all, Samsung has done a pretty amazing job of keeping the SGSIII locked up tight.
