Second quad-core tablet with Ice Cream Sandwich from Lenovo said to launch this Year

If your weren’t excited enough about the Transformer Prime launching just around the corner, there will be a second option available soon. According to a leak over at Engadget, Lenovo has a quad-core tablet supposedly running Ice Cream Sandwich on the way. The image above is a just a render of what the device  should look like. Looks of course are important to us Android users but many of us are more interested in the specs. The Lenovo tablet is said to house a Tegra 3 quad-core chip clocked at 1.6Ghz, Android 4.0 ICS, 2 GB RAM with standard size USB ports. Sounds phenomenal.

This leak is hot on the heels of other rumors about a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Hybrid that is said to be in the works. This device should combine the ultraportable X1 device mentality with our beloved Android OS. With a an “Instant Media Mode” that should double the battery life. We are definitely game for anything that can give us better battery life, especially if it is surrounding media play back.Nothing bugs me more than only surviving 2 movies before my battery dies.

Hopefully Lenovo has a winner with these products. They haven’t been all that incredible in the past. I look forward to seeing what tricks they have up their sleeves. If  they can produce something spectacular before the holidays, you might just have a decision to make.
