Sequel to Plants vs. Zombies announced by PopCap Games

Plants vs. Zombies is an extremely popular game across multiple platforms. Placing various plants on your lawn your goal is to protect your home from the invading and hungry zombies. I know my kids have it on the NDS and play it all the time still. PopCap Games has recently announced that a sequel to the title is on the way by late Spring of 2013. I know, that is like 5 years away. Still, it is good to see them taking the next step with the game and not just leaving things the way they are. The sequel promises to bring along hordes of new plants, zombie types and ‘mulch more. Nice little play on words from the developers. We are hoping for Puzzle mode, Mini Game mode and Zen Garden really.

The press release, which you can find below, doesn’t make mention of a specific platform for launch. We fully expect it to hit all the same platforms it is currently available on at one time or another. iOS will probably get it before we do, and when it does come to Android we bet it hits Amazon before the Play Store.
