I have done a couple of articles on the Hisense Sero 7 Pro (and there are a couple more to come, so stay tuned). To me, this device finally hit the sweet spots that I look for at the price point that I look for, and it has truly been a joy to own one of these the last couple of months.
What makes it even better is that Hisense has just reduced the price of both the Sero 7 LT (the lower spec’d model) and the Sero 7 Pro by $20 each, respectively. The Pro is now only $129 (was $149) and the LT is $79 (was $99). That makes them the best spec’d tablets at their price points. Here is the official press release emailed to me by Hisense.

Now, for the Pro (which is what I own), this put it in the comparable spectrum of tablets like the Asus Memo Pad HD 7 (Asus’ latest 7 inch model), 2012 Nexus 7, Galaxy Tab 2 7″, etcetera, and all of these equal or supersede the $150 price point. If you need a good tablet with good specs and a good price point, this is the way to go. The LT is also an amazing deal with those kinds of features in the $79 range.
So, I would recommend it. In addition to my conversing with Hisense for the kernel source (and they are working to cooperate very well with the developer community), this tablet will receive an official 4.3 update.
