A French blog is reporting that the SFR, France’s second largest mobile carrier, will be launching the Android 2.2 aka Froyo for HTC Magic this summer along with Nexus One. Android 2.2 is coming to all the latest phones by the end of this year. Recently, T-Mobile USA also announced that they will be launching the Android 2.2 for their MyTouch 3G (which is the HTC Magic). The Android 2.2 build is lighter and faster than the Android 2.1, Android 2.2 can run very smoothly on those phones on which Android 2.1 lags a lot i.e Motorola Droid. I used to have a Motorola Droid with Android 2.1, and it lagged as if I was using my phone in slow motion. So Magic users, don’t lose your hope, you will be getting your Froyo this Summer.
