SGS II Should Hit Verizon Before AT&T

Now that there has been some more official information surround the Samsung Galaxy S II by AT&T, more and more information should start to surface from other carriers. Until we all hear it directly from the carriers though we are sitting on pins and needles. Verizon should be getting a version of the device, and T-Mobile is still a wishy washy subject. I heard rumors that they are skipping that device for a completely different model that will set its self apart from the SGS II line. That device is rumored to be the Samsung Hercules. Not much is know about that device either.

On the Verizon front though, industry analyst Paul Mueller, put his thoughts out to the public on how it should all go down. The most important factor being that Verizon should launch their version in mid August. Which is just around the corner.

I’m not sure about the exact date, but I’ve been told that August 12 is a possibility. It will arrive first on Verizon and then the rest of the carriers within a month. Samsung will market this directly against the iPhone 5,” says Mr. Mueller.

It makes perfect marketing sense. Push it out and give the people a better alternative to the iPhone5. With a giant like Verizon behind the device, you are sure to see ads flood various media outlets and hopefully out due the newest thing from Apple.

This is all just rumor and speculation for the time being. Analyst have been known to be wrong, but are usually pretty close to target. It will be interesting to see what develops over the next couple months on the U.S. variants of the SGS II.
