Oh boy! More news about Shadowgun Deadzone. I know many of you are eager to get your hands on the multiplayer awesomeness that is Deadzone. It was shown off way back in February and there was even a little testing going on with some tablets and Gamestop. Then the news went cold. Last week we saw an image change on Facebook clearly showing Deadzone in the top. That got the attention of us all. Now this morning I got a lovely email from Madfinger Games letting me know what the story was. You guys ready?
Right now some lucky people in the Czech Republic sporting Tegra 3 devices are already hard at work testing out a closed beta version of the app. This is good news as this will help them check the game, the servers and app itself for issues or bugs. Here is where the news gets even better though. If all things pan out, then they will be releasing an Open Beta version of the game, hopefully within two weeks from now. When it does hit Open Beta status it will hit the Play Store and the Tegra zone for free.
On to where I was slightly saddened, it will be a free download, but only states for Tegra 3 devices. That keeps a whole lot of people in the U.S. out of the testing phase. Madfinger has always done a great job at bringing their games across to all devices though. So while you Transformer owners and Nexus 7 owners will be running around killing each other first, we know the team will get it out to everyone else eventually. Just not sure how long that will take.
As we gather more info and when the beta opens up on the Play Store and Tegra Zone, we will be sure to let you all know. Until then, check out a little game teaser of it below.
