Play Store)Â has been hard at work to build Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution 2. It will be the first mobile installation of the game that has been built specifically for mobile from the ground up. If you are dual OS wielding user out there you know iOS has
Civilization Revolution, but that title was a port of the 2008 console title. Which, sadly, never made its way to Android.
The game will combine the core tactical elements of the series with intuitive controls and a friendly user interface – designed specifically for mobile gamers on touch-pad devices. Civilization fans will also recognize the 16 historical leaders found in the first game, including Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi and Napoleon, alongside leaders such as Churchill and Kennedy, who are making their appearance in the series for the first time
Those of you with iOS devices will be able to get your hands on the new title July 2nd, with the typical “coming soon” to Android tag line. We certainly hope soon to 2K games isn’t October. 2K Games doesn’t list a price which lead many to thing it will be a free-to-play title, with in app purchases. However, they state that CR2 is a “premium title”. That should mean that it won’t have any in app purchases. Although we have seen some games cost a little upfront with IAP’s as an option to advance further faster.
