Something with Red Leather headed our way from Motorola

Tease they must. Those device manufacturers certainly have a way to poke the bear when it comes to a good tease. Samsung does a decent job with images and videos prior to a device announcement. HTC isn’t very good at it yet. Motorola, they tend to get us all talking. Mainly because their teases can often times go so many different directions. On Motorola’s social network accounts they put up the image you see above of a red leather jacket. The message asked their followers what their favorite red leather go-to item is. It was followed up with “We’ve got a little something in the works.”

Naturally we default to thinking that Motorola will be offering red leather backs for the Moto X (2nd gen) in due time. They already offer black, natural, cognac (which appears a little red) and navy blue leather backs for a $25 add-on charge during your device build process. It could easily fit the bill, but so could a custom red leather strap for the Moto 360. Then there is the nagging thought that they are in the process of making a red leather case or bag of sorts for your phone and watch. The thought is provoking. At the same time though, I don’t know anyone that owns a red leather anything. Do any of you? I would venture to say it will be both a red leather Moto X and Moto 360 strap. Because, well, accessorize.

Guess we will have to wait and see what Motorola is planning. Who knows how long that will take since they didn’t give us any indicators. What are your thoughts?
