Sonic 4 Episode 2 headed to Tegra 3 devices May 16th

We have seen, heard about and watched the saga that is Sega and their game Sonic 4. Episode I has been out for some time now and while it had its little issues, was still a pretty great game. We caught an interview about Episode II quite a while ago and have eagerly been waiting for it to finally be announced. Finally we have word on the launch date for this classic that not only brings Sonic back, but also tosses in my favorite little sidekick Tails. the game is scheduled to launch tomorrow for the typical $6.99 price tag.

The game is currently available on Steam and PSN right now, so some of you can already pick it up if you are interested. It will also roll out to Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow. If you snagged up Episode I, you will also get an additional Metal content pack as well. It pays to get them all. All of this sounds pretty darn good to us, with one small exceptions. At launch it will only be available for Tegra 3 powered devices. What a drag, I know. Episode II will be hitting more devices by June, so the rest of the world, mainly the U.S., won’t have that much longer to wait. Until then, check out the game trailer to get your excrement back up again.
