We’ve been hearing increasing rumours about Sony‘s next flagship, which is being called the Sony Honami, or Xperia i1. On several occasions, we’ve gotten leaked pictures of the supposed device, and today, there’s been more fuel added to the fire. Pictures courtesy of Gadget Helpline show the Honami in full office sunlight, showing off it’s front, bottom and back sides.
It is definitely looking like a completely new Xperia phone while retaining some of the tell-tale Xperia characteristics, particularly the power button placement. It also looks like there may be a speaker lining the bottom of the phone, possible channelling some of the HTC One speaker placement, but there’s no shots of the top edge to confirm or dispel the existence of a top edge speaker.
I’m really liking what we’re hearing about the Sony Honami, rumours or not. The 5-inch, 1080p Triluminos display coupled with a Snapdragon 800 and the rumoured 20MP camera could make a killer combination of beauty and utility. Of course, all of this is hearsay and we’ll still have to wait to see if Sony even has this phone on the books, but would you get a Sony Honami?
