Sprint Kicks on 4G for Twin Cities and Pittsburgh

As we’re wrapping up September, Sprint managed to flip on their 4G coverage in the Twin Cities and Pittsburgh this morning. Sprint’s WiMAX network offers speeds up to 5Mbps and now that Sprint has served up two hot little 4G devices, those citizens can now enjoy them a higher speed.

Sprint launched their second 4G device, the Samsung Epic 4G, at the end of August with its full-QWERTY slide out keyboard and beautiful Super AMOLED display. The Epic followed the HTC Evo 4G which was launched in early June, featuring a 4.3″ display, HTC’s Sense UI and a handy HDMI port. These devices have been selling fast if you’re interested in snagging one now that your city has 4G. Enjoy your new 4G coverage! Press release after the jump.
