One of the longest betas known to the tech world has finally ended (Gmail probably still has the claim on the longest). Swype, everyone’s favourite keyboard, will now be available from the Google Play Store for the first time and will be available at an introductory price of $0.99 for the full-version or a free 30-day trial version.
As far as anyone can tell, if you have been using the Beta up till now, the release of these two new versions will have no effect on your Beta’s operation. For now; the Beta would intuitively not be getting any future updates moving forward. And for $0.99, especially power-Swype users, there’s almost no reason not not to pick up the full version.
