Symantec Brings Security To Android Phones

Symantec, who’s name we all know as Norton, will be coming to Android devices slated for a June release.  The upcoming “Norton Everywhere” products will allow Symantec’s security and backup infrastructure technology to partners of HTC. This product will appeal toward consumers, as well as businesses.

While they are shooting for a June release, Symantec will give users the ability to remotely wipe all data and/or lock their device via text message in the event their device gets lost or stolen. Some other key features would include call blocking and blocking of “malicious” code.

In sync with this launch in June, would be the beta of Norton Connect which will be launched in the Android Market, would allow users to backup their Android handsets to access files via Norton Online Backup or Norton 360. The company allow a glimpse of their future plan at m.Norton.com which was announced last Thursday offering news, videos, and downloads.
