T-Mobile HSPA+ network is not ready for the HTC G2.

I have recently been experiencing horrible issues with the T-Mobile HSPA+ network and the HTC G2. Allow me to go into this further.

I am getting around 16mbps down on the HSPA+ network, however I am unable to receive calls or make calls while on the HSPA+ network. Also when connected to the HSPA+ network I am noticing that my connection to the network is dropping in and out. The weird issue here is that when I put my phone on the 2G only network, it works great!

Now I am sure a lot of you are thinking I may possibly have a bad device right? Wrong, I have been sent another G2 courtesy of Wirefly and I am still experiencing the same issues. I have also been through three different sim cards to rule out the issue of a bad sim. So after going through all these obstacles I’m like what’s next?

So I did what any normal person would do and called T-Mobile to get them to investigate possible issues with the towers in my area and to my surprise they came back with one wild response. T-mobile has stated to me that they have tested the towers in my area and do see an issue with the HSPA+ and their network. I was told that the network is not ready, thus causing me so many issues.

So, of course I dabbled more into the issue to receive the following response:

I would recommend that you take advantage of the buyers remorse program as we do not have an ETA when the issue will be resolved. It appears the network is not ready for HSPA+, thus causing you your issues.

What? Are you serious? A carrier is recommending that I leave the company due to the fact that they cannot provide me the service that they agreed upon when they used their network coverage tool and told me that I had excellent service in my area!

I am in awe right now trying to wrap my brain around what just happened. I cannot believe a wireless carrier has told me point blank that I need to leave their company as they cannot provide me any ETA on when the issue would be resolved, as well that they know it will not be fixed by the time my buyers remorse period is over.

My initial thought is why would T-Mobile want me to leave there company rather than fixing the issue that most likely many other individuals are experiencing? I live in Houston, TX so I am almost positive I am not the only one with a G2 as well not the only one experiencing these network issues.

So any of you lucky T-Mobile HTC G2 users experiencing the same issues I am? If you are please let us know in the comments below as I would like to bring this to T-Mobile’s attention.
