According to a report from TmoNews, owners of the T-Mobile HTC Amaze 4g will receive an OTA update in the coming days. Don’t get too excited though — it’s not Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s an updated version of Gingerbread, labeled 1.43.531.3 and Android 2.3.4. This is not to say the update isn’t one you’ll enjoy though, as it brings with it WiFi calling, the official addition of Google Music, and a slew of other updates and enhancements.
Looking at the screenshot above, you’ll see the update is listed as being available today, December 12, but T-Mobile cannot expedite how quickly you actually receive it; however, you can always manually check to see if it’s ready for you by pressing Menu > About Phone > HTC software updates > Check and then following the on-screen prompts. The update will continue rolling out through January 20th.
