T-Mobile poised for Un-carrier 8 announcement tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. EST

T-Mobile has put out an open invitation for the world to watch as they unveil the next big move for the Un-carrier initiative as they announce Un-carrier 8.0. The invitation is just that, an invitation. It doesn’t hide any clues as to what the game changing carrier is planning to announce. It will be a live webcast stream though through Yahoo! News. It will be hosted by David Progue, who is the founder of Yahoo Tech and was a technology columnist for the new York Times. The bad boy of the wireless industry, John Legere will be there to make the announcement and answer live questions about Un-carrier 8. I assume there will be an audience for part of that session, but they will also be taking questions via Twitter through @TMobile and hashtag #Uncarrier8.

The broadcast is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. Easter, which translates to 7:30 Pacific on December 16th. You will be able to find the link to watch the feed over at newsroom.t-mobile.com tomorrow morning.

The rumor mill seems to be pretty quiet on this one. What else could T-Mobile do? They pay off your ETF, give you a phone with monthly payments, let you stream music without touching data caps and so much more. Just over a week ago they brought out the unlimited everything 2 line family plan and the 4 line unlimited talk and text with 2.5GB of data per line plans for $100. I am struggling to think of something that would be mind-blowing. However, I am sure John will do just that. Maybe no more late fees and restore of service charges. That would save me a ton of money. Or possibly unlimited high-speed data for tablets. Looking back at the 2014 resolutions John shared with everyone, nothing seems to stand out. They unshackled the family from the other guys, he made waves at CES 2014 and 4G LTE is getting faster and to more areas. That leaves harping on AT&T some more really. I guess we will have to wait and find out tomorrow with everyone else.
