T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III appears, looks Great!!

If you have been following along with us and primarily me, then you know I am a Samsung fanboy. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest and you can make fun of me all you want. I like Samsung phones and I love the Galaxy S III. Coming from a Vibrant, it doesn’t take much for me to want or need an upgrade. The look of the device, the software, the screen and all the things I need and want in a phone are in the S III. We know the device is headed to all four major U.S. carriers and even US Cellular. Earlier we found out that the S III should be hitting T-Mobile on June 20th. We also found out that the Canadian version would have 2GB of RAM since they have to sacrifice the quad-core processor. We assume that will be the case for all U.S. based versions as well. The only thing really left for us to wonder about is the price tag and the design.

In the past all versions of the Samsung Galaxy devices have looked different. Never mimicking the look of their international counter parts, not even in the slightest. It looks like the Galaxy S III, for T-Mobile at least, will not be altered by design to something different. Near as we can tell, T-Mobile kept everything the same, design wise, and just tossed their name on the back. Which is a bit different from past Galaxy devices where they added their name where the ‘Samsung’ name is and moved the manufacturer name to the bottom.

We are sure Samsung had a hand in the T-Mobiles choice to not mess with anything. They want this device to be their ultimate flagship and have global dominance after all. Changing design elements forces Samsung to make design changes, software changes and produce different devices, when in fact it is the same device. While Samsung has no say in the processor, since LTE can’t run with LTE, they can at least the rest of the parts the same.

As for the rest of the carrier versions of the device, we are starting to think they might all be the same. With Samsung having a lot of pull in the industry and the carriers making killings of their devices, who is to argue? Verizon maybe, but AT&T and Sprint sure as heck won’t. We have a feeling that this could be the first Galaxy line that is going to land globally and not look different on each U.S. carrier. Personally I think is not only an amazing move for Samsung, but also for the carriers. There is nothing like seeing some amazing new device to find out that your carriers version looks completely different than what you fell in love with.

What are your thoughts about this? Is this absolutely phenominal to see the same device you already saw, or are you disappointed that T-Mobile didn’t demand ‘changes’ to make it different?
