The completely unofficial T-Mobile
Sony Xperia Z device keeps getting more official.
Sony’s CEO confirmed last week that the Xperia Z would be heading to “a” U.S. carrier very soon. Leaving out the part about which one, and only using “a” and not carriers. Meaning it will probably only land on one. At least for now. A new series of support documents has surfaced on T-Mobile further confirming, for us anyways, that T-Mobile will be that carrier. After all, we did see a T-mobile branded Xperia Z test image surface not to long ago too.
The Xperia Z has cleared the FCC with T-Mobile LTE bands and with the new support documents up, it is only a matter of time before T-Mobile makes the device official. With their whole uncarrier approach and no contracts, this could be a hot little product for Magenta to have under their belt. Especially since we haven’t seen much in the way of the Galaxy S4 Active sporting anything T-Mobile related yet.
Anyone out there thinking about grabbing this when it comes around?
