I really don’t believe it’s a coincidence that T-Mobile USA took a nice little interim step (to the upcoming 21Mbps HSPA+ action)Â today in announcing that its entire 3G footprint has now been upgraded from 3.6 to 7.2Mbps. The Google Android Press Event most definitely has something to do with this 🙂
Considering that AT&T won’t be at 100 percent 7.2Mbps coverage for some time to come, this is a nice little boost — of course, T-Mob’s got a smaller network to contend with, so it’s a trade-off for customers.
We know of at least one Android VIP hacker that noticed the difference today, did you ?
cyanogen Speedtest on T-Mobile today: 521K/s down, 127K/s up. I think we definitely got a boost today.
