Though, the term “by summer” is pretty vague, as we have seen from past experiences with such devices as the Samsung Vibrant, and more recently the T-Mobile G2. However, having an official word like this does relieve a lot of the thoughts on when we will see an update to the issues that a lot of T-Mobile G2x owners are having.
We first saw signs of Gingerbread for the G2x earlier this month when Paul O’Brien leaked out the G2x Gingerbread build, however, this leak had some issues due to not coming with a new base band (modem) or a new kernel based off Gingerbread Kernel Source. So we will have to wait and see what the Official Update has to bring in regards to fixes for the G2x issues.
