T-Mobile’s HTC Sensation 4G ICS update not hitting devices in April

There are plenty of HTC Sensation 4G users on T-Mobile that are hitting the update button daily. Hoping and praying that Ice Cream Sandwich slipped in while you were at work or while you were sleeping. According to a post in the T-Mobile Forums, you can stop waiting for that icy present to land, at least anytime in April. While the delay is most likely software issues and the update not passing T-Mobile criteria yet, others will speculate it is due to the new HTC One S launch. Which is in about 10 minutes from now.

Being the anti-corporate type of person that I am, I believe the latter of the two. Why update an old device when something newer and better is almost available. Not that an update to ICS with Sense 3.6 has anything on the One S software and hardware. So don’t get roped into the hype about it being held back purposefully. At least, I hope they aren’t, that would be just plain evil. I love how the moderator pokes fun at that a little bit.
