T-Mobile’s Motorola Cliq 2 Getting Software Update Now

Although it’s not one of the most popular devices T-Mobile’s Motorola Cliq 2 is now officially receiving an OTA update which will deliver increased performance while also adding a few security fixes to this entry-level slider.

 

  • Added Device and SD Card Encryption capabilities
  • Added proxy and VPN Support to allow Wi-Fi users to access external corporate networks
  • Included new password management functionality
  • Improved loading speed of widgets and wallpapers
  • Improved battery performance, particularly when Wi-Fi is enabled and when using Google Maps
  • Added Lookout, Mobi TV, Family Room, and UNO apps
  • Updated Audio Postcard, AppPack, Wi-Fi Calling applications
  • Numerous fixes have been implemented, resulting in fewer occurrences of unresponsiveness and/or programs quitting unexpectedly
  • Improved network location accuracy for Wi-Fi calling
  • Improved accuracy of haptic feedback when typing

 

Users wishing to grab this update can either wait for the notification or go to Settings>About Phone> System Updates>Download. This new update will bring your version number up to 1.1.30. Any Cliq 2 users out there receive their update yet?
