The Death of Sprint’s Premier program and other major Changes

The weekly book of goodies and information that is handed out to its employees has magically ended up online. Although that may not be big news, what is inside this weeks little package is. One of Sprints biggest changes outlined in the playbook is the end of some customers favorite aspect of Sprint, the Premier program.

It looks like all the wonderful things Sprint used to do finally has to come to an end. In addition to losing the 1 year contract option, their upgrade fee has increased from $18 to $36. At least they are going to give you one more chance on your current upgrade schedule and then from there you will be stuck like the rest of us, waiting 20+ months before you get any discounts.

If that isn’t enough to slightly irritate you, they also out line the new return policy. Sprint used to offer an amazing 30 day return/exchange policy. Giving you the option to return your device or change devices within 30 days of purchase. Unfortunately, they are changing that. Now Sprint is right in line with the rest of the wireless carriers, only offering a 14 days to take care of business before you are locked into that device.

Sounds like Sprint finally had to conform to the rest of the industry. It is a sad day for Sprint customers.
