Now with all the Galaxy Nexus and Ice Cream Sandwich craziness that we saw last night, I being the video guy of course, really was digging the video recorder quality of the device. Don’t get me wrong, everything else that the new Android OS has to offer is just full of epic-ness, but I really got the WOW factor with the video quality and options. I’m thinking I need to get me one of these devices just to make the ManDroid Show a little more prettier.
Now when the part of the presentation came to the video portion, naturally I was paying close attention. When They showed those first shots of the stream, it just looked BE-AU-TI-FUL . The 1080p was stunning and what really took it up a notch, was the time-lapse feature. Are you serious? That’s such a cool effect to catch nature with, even though it means having to record hours at a time. Heck I’ll stand out there for hours to get a pretty shot like that to use for absolutely nothing. Okay, I would be forced to make a block buster movie if I were to do that so maybe I’ll be the first to shoot an entire movie with a phone. It could happen.
Take a look at a few stills from the video section of the presentation. You can find the all the relevant information for the video functions at about the 47 minute marker of the video. It can be found on YouTube and will be posted on the site later today.
