Three UK bringing the Three Web Cube to market, mobile broadband for your Home

Three UK is one of my favorite overseas carriers to keep an eye on occasionally. Not that it does me any good since I am here in the states. Still, they seem to have some pretty great things going for them as far as devices, plans and a website that is actually fun to visit. Something that we stumbled across last night is a new product from Three UK that brings the idea of Mobile Broadband internet away from the typical USB PC dongle that we are used to seeing.

The device is called the Three Web Cube. As you can see in the images pulled from coolsmartphone, it is just that, a cube. The Cube is made by Huawei, a name we are all familiar with. Located on the top of the side of the Cube is the SIM card slot. There is also a micro USB port as well and you have a single power cord to plug into a wall outlet. The Cube offers Three UK mobile broadband speeds up to the theoretical 21.6 Mbps down and 5.76 up. You can connect up to five devices to a single Cube and it has its own SSID and network key.

You have a few choices as for how to get one and the costs. you can buy one out right for £59.99 on a month to month basis of 10GB of data for £15, or you can get one free with a 2-year contract and 15GB of data for £15.99 a month. Which is about $20 bucks a month either way. You can check them out at the Web Cube page at Three UK

I really like it. At $20 a month for 15GB of data, something like this could do well in the states. The only exception is that it would be provided by Verizon, be $200 on contract and 5GB of data for $50 a month. Kinda makes me want to move out of the country.
