Toshiba 10.1″ Tablet Spotted on Amazon

Amazon comes through again, displaying yet another unreleased device. Of course this device has been a more elusive than most others. Toshiba’s 10.1″, nameless tablet debuted at CES 2011, and hasn’t been mentioned too much since then. This new listing continues the tablets anonymity, however it does give you an idea of what you can expect the tablet to deliver.

  • 10.1″ Multi-Touch Display
  • NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual-Core Processor
  • 2MP front-facing, 5MP rear-facing camera with auto focus
  • USB, mini-USB, and HDMI ports and full-sized SD card reader
  • Easy Grip non-slip interchangeable rubber backplate, available in a variety of colors; user-replaceable prismatic lithium battery

The listing doesn’t say what version of the Android OS it will be running, however Honeycomb has been mentioned in past references to this device.

Overall it looks a bit thick, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The rubberized backing provides an interesting look, adds a little more personalization to your device via colors. This may also be a stress reliever for those that have XOOMs and hate the finger prints.

No pricing or availability has been announced for this device. For more pictures and future details check out the listing at Amazon.
