Since the release of the first Twitter app for Android from Twitter.com, many of the twitter apps that were avalible for android slowed down on their updates. Â The twitter app is fantastic, but I’ve been secretly hoping for a tweetdeck app for Android. Â Tweetdeck announced they are working on an app for Android. Â Tweetdeck stated that this will be a major project for the team. Â One of their focuses is using HTML5 to open up f0r web development, and a mobile app allowing anyone to access their account from anywhere. Â With that said, they are also working on saving battery life, by not having the app running in the background. Â I assume the app will have the same UI as the program for Pc and Mac.

I hope this starts rolling out soon, Tweetdeck in my opinion is the best twitter program available for download, would make a fantastic social tool for Android.
