U.S. Cellulars Delays HTC Desire Launch

It’s not what you think, U.S. Cellular has voluntarily delayed the device because they want to have a larger inventory of the device. Due to HTC’s previous shortages of devices like the HTC Incredible and the HTC Sprint Evo 4G, it seems they don’t want to experience the same shortage. U.S. Cellular is still planning on launching the Samsung Acclaim in July. The HTC Desire has the 3.7-inch screen as does the HTC Incredible and as the shortages were the caused by not producing enough super AMOLED screens for this device, it is pretty clear that U.S. Cellular just wants everything in order as this is a huge launch for this wireless carrier.

Is this a good decision from U.S. Cellular? Or should they go ahead with the launch and risk the shortage? Leave your comments below.
