For those of you who own an unlocked version of the Samsung Galaxy S II, check your handset right now for a software update to Android 4.0 ICS. According to TalkAndroid, an ICS update is currently happening for all owners of an unlocked SGSII handset.
To check for the update, go into your Settings>About Phone>Software Update and check to see if you have received the update. If you have, you should see a screen similar to the one above. The file is also 216MB in size, so you might want to be connected to Wi-Fi before you download.
The Galaxy S II is still currently Samsung’s flagship device until the Galaxy SIII gets announced. It’s nice to see Samsung upping up their game and trying to update all their devices weeks before their newest flagship gets announced.
