T-Mobile looks to be stepping up their efforts to keep devices updated. We used to see updates for their devices few and far between. Along with the
Amaze 4G update, T-Mobile also released an update to the
Samsung Galaxy S II. While not every update will bring your device up to Ice Cream Sandwich, at least it is something. The update is labeled as T989UVLDE and makes a few improvements that should help hold you over. The update is rolling out now and is only 32.3MB’s. This should be the last update before ICS is finally made available though, so that is good news.
Be sure to have more than 50% battery at install time so it goes through without a hitch. If you haven’t seen it hit your device yet, you can always attempt to prompt the system to push it through by hitting up
Menu > Settings > About Phone > Software Update. Good luck and happy updating.
