Up until now we haven’t seen a change in Verizon’s pricing on their Galaxy Tab which was being offered at a blunt $499.99 regardless of purchasing options. However, it seems “Big Red” has had a change of heart now offering the Tab at $299.99 for new 2 year contracts.
Suppose this is good news for those that want a Galaxy Tab from the nation’s number one carrier, but how many people are actually going to bite on this with other tablets right around the corner. We’ve already seen the Motorola Xoom roll out, and like it you can almost guarantee these other tablets are going to be a little more corrosive to the pocket book, but they offer much more in the form of hardware and capabilities. Are you more likely to pick up a Galaxy Tab now, or are you going to wait for new stuff?
