Verizon Nixes $35 Activation Fee for Android Tablets

The fee everyone hates when purchasing a new device has finally been eliminated from Android Tablets purchased through Verizon. Of course it kinda seems odd that they’re finally doing this when they’ve been providing free activation for iPad for a long time now.

This comes as no surprise especially with them holding off their new tiered data plans till this summer to convenience the new iPhone customers, however the question is why would they offer this strictly for iPad users when it’s been proven that Android is a force to be reckoned with. According to the mind blowing statistics rolling out every month regarding Android’s growth in the market, it would seem like you’d want to be involved.

This new revelation by the nation’s number one has been back dated to March 1st. Which means if you’ve already purchased an Android tablet from them you will be credited back your activation fee. How long this new promotion is unknown, however considering they dated back to the beginning of the month you’d think it would be permanent.
