Verizon Responds to the Motorola Droid X Display Issue

Every device has its kinks right after launch and unfortunately these problems have hit the Motorola Droid X. This is not an issue that users can live with, as there are reports that nothing will stop the screen from flickering except getting a new device. Verizon has acknowledged the issue plaguing the Droid X and had this to say:

“Verizon Wireless and Motorola are aware of a very small number of DROID X units that have experienced a flickering or banding display. Motorola has resolved the issue and is continuing to ship the phones. Any consumer who experiences a flickering or banding display should contact a Motorola customer support center or Verizon Wireless.”

To make matters worse, since the device is new and is currently sold out in most places, users are having to wait days even weeks before they can receive a functional device. We learned yesterday that on Verizon, the shipping date has been pushed back to August 3rd.
