Verizon Set to Bring LTE to NFL Cities Near You

According to eWeek, Verizon is about to light up their LTE in 30 markets starting with “NFL cities”  first. Keep in mind that some NFL teams share the same market. Verizon has said today that these markets will be the first to receive their 4G network by the end of 2010. At this time it is unclear in which order these markets will receive Verizon’s 4G coverage, but Verizon is planning on having every other market actively receiving LTE coverage by 2013.

With Sprint’s WiMaX and T-Mobile’s HSPA+ steadily rolling out, we’re curious to see how these carriers plan to amp up coverage once Verizon’s LTE starts rolling out.
