Verizon takes to Twitter to announce Moto X arrival August 29th

Moto X headed to Verizon August 29th Online
Like we all didn’t know it was coming. For those of you that love concrete proof, Verizon just pushed out a tweet that made it officially official. It will be available for online purchase on August 29th and in stores a few weeks afterwards. Pricing comes in at $199.99 with a new two-year contract of course.

A small refresher, if you need one. The Moto X launches with Android 4.2.2 and sports a 4.7-inch 720 x 1280 AMOLED display. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Dual-Core processor at 1.7 GHz, Sport 2 GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It is powered by a 2200 mAh battery with a rating of 13 hours of talk time. Rear camera is 10MP and front facer is 2MP.

The specs all sound pretty decent, but the customization and the special Moto software features like OpenMic and flicking to open the camera are what sets it apart from the crowd a little. It isn’t the device for me, but I am pretty sure many of you are looking to it as your next device. Any Verizon readers out there ready to hit the F5 button repeatedly on the 29th?
