Verizon to also launch the Samsung Galaxy Camera with 4G LTE

The new Samsung Galaxy Camera was recently launched through AT&T just last month. Coming in at an insane $500 price tag with or without a contract. Since carriers aren’t subsidizing prices on tablets anymore, it was expected that the camera wouldn’t get a price cut for a contract either.

Now the Galaxy Camera is getting ready to head to Verizon Wireless. Still sporting the 21x super long optical zoom, 23mm wide-angle lens  4.8-inch HD touch screen and Android Jelly Bean 4.1. Not to mention Wi-Fi and access to the Google Play Store. No doubt Verizon will add in a few of their very own apps to the device in true bloating up fashion. It will come equipment with access to Verizon’s super fast 4G LTE data connection as well. We are pretty sure we will see the same price tag with or without a contract that AT&T is offering up the device for. The page went live only for a short time an since has been taken down. As soon as we get more information such as price points and release date, we will let you all know.

Don’t forget, the developers already got this thing rooted, so clearing out that bloat is a pretty easy task. Samsung also released the source code for the AT&T version at least and the Verizon model should be soon to follow. Still, at $500 we can think of a few things we would rather pick up. Anyone out there entertaining the idea of the Samsung Galaxy Camera? If anyone out there already has one, what do you think of it?
