Verizon’s data outage reportedly over, are you back Online?

Yesterday many loyal Verizon customers experienced a rather large 4G outage. It even managed to trickle down a little bit and knock out some 3G service as well. Currently there are reports coming in that the outage has since been resolved and everything is back up and running. Not a horrible down time but still very frustrating for those of you that rely on your device heavily during the day.

Many rumors started running around that the outage is what was keeping the Galaxy Nexus from launching tomorrow as many had hoped. Although this is neither confirmed or denied, I speculate it could be. I am curious of the outage was planned since The Droid Guy reported that the Nexus wasn’t playing nice with the 4G services. If the outage was planned then it was most likely some sort of software change that would help the Nexus perform to its full potential. No matter the cause, as long as it is back up and the Nexus is functioning correctly, you will be glad they waited to start selling it.

Those of you on Verizon currently, can you confirm your data is back up and running? You might need to turn your device off and back on to get it to reconnect.
