Verizon’s LTE Coverage to Reach Everywhere Mid-2013. Stands Couple Years Ahead of Competitors

Yes, we have read all about the different carriers upgrading the juice at their cell sites, and giving us WiFi like speeds on our phones. No doubt that Verizon has already slightly ahead of the curve, by having more LTE in more markets. According to Verizon’s CFO, Fran Shammo, Verizon’s 4G LTE build out will be done by mid-2013. Yeah big whoop, right? Well Verizon is pretty much going to be almost two years ahead of the other carriers. So when are they making Skynet?

Obviously this bodes well for all you that are on Big Red’s “crack” speed network, but what makes them stand out is that they are the only carrier that will be fully overlapping their 3G spectrum with their LTE this quickly. AT&T does not have plans to this until the end of 2014. T-Mobile and Sprint? Yeah, they are little late to the LTE party.  With the build out reaching its finish, Verizon will then implement their VoLTE (voice over LTE) and become the first VoLTE carrier in the market. Big Red is becoming a beast, and phasing out the CDMA is only going to benefit them. Let us know what you.
