This can be put under the “random” category in articles that we post, but I thought I would talk about it. Seems that a man in Philadelphia was talking on phone, when he lost his footing and fell onto some subway tracks. Now this happened last year, but they are finally releasing the footage from the security cameras. The man was lucky, because it was very late at night so no trains passed through. That being said, he was also lying on the tracks unconscious and no one was around the help him. Eventually he woke up and crawled out of his subway tomb. My guess is that he broke his phone.
Now the reason I am writing this post, is because with stupidly like this, the government just might start enforcing laws about walking and using a cell phone. It is already illegal to do anything on your phone while driving, but now it just might be enforced if you are doing the simple task of “one foot in front of the other”. It is sad that someone can get so distracted with a phone call that they cannot see a huge gap in the ground, right in front of them. Now I have had my random times where I have bumped into someone while sending a text, but I  do not think I would ever walk over the edge of platform in a Willie Coyote fashion.
Of course there has been other footage that you can find on YouTube where people have walked into random things while talking or texting on their phone. It is sad that are phones do really run are lives, and can distract us just enough to make us not even aware of our own surroundings. I am just worried that they are going to start enforcing laws for us not to use are phones while we walk. That will just be ridiculous, but I fear that is where we are heading. Check out the video below and let us know what you guys think.
