[Video] New Samsung Wallet announced, not exactly what you Think

When I saw the name “Samsung Wallet” I thought of Google Wallet and Isis. Thinking that Samsung was branching out with NFC to let me buy stuff when T-Mobile won’t let me have Google. Not the case here. Samsung Wallet is a digital wallet that lets you store boarding passes, event tickets, membership cards and coupons all in one location. It is a nice idea, but there are plenty of other apps out there in the Play Store that offer the same thing. .

The Samsung Wallet app isn’t available just yet for people to mess about with thought. Developers have a chance to utilize it to help incorporate their discounts and other things to the wallet, with Samsung approval of course. It will launch on the Samsung App Store when it is out. Samsung already has partnerships in place with Belly, Major League Baseball, Walgreens, Expedia, Booking.com, Hotels.com and Lufthansa with more partners scheduled to come online this summer.
